"Las Vegas" star Josh Duhamel is looking forward to some much-needed togetherness time with his girlfriend, oh-so-hot songstress Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas, as the series has just wrapped for this season.

"I welcome this hiatus, believe me," he says with a smile. "I might go on vacation; it just depends on my schedule and my significant other's. Twenty-four episodes is a marathon of a year."

The lovebirds will no doubt be giving the paparazzi a lot more to photograph.

"They don't normally follow me around ¡V that's only happened recently," notes Duhamel about the unwanted attention. "It's just a part of the territory, although I think there should be some line they can't cross. I don't agree with them being able to take pictures of your house, shooting from across the canyon into your backyard."

Last week, the "Las Vegas" team completed a special sweeps installment of the popular show that's set for May 23 airing ¡V with guests Jon Bon Jovi, John Elway, Gladys Knight and Dean Cain.

Josh does have the big screen "Turistas" looming, as we reported theother day, which will have the hunky actor heading down to Brazil.

"We're finishing all the contract stuff now, so I hope so," says Duhamel of the movie, which centers on six college students who get stranded in the jungles of Brazil while backpacking across the country and are then imprisoned by a military group.

Why this particular movie? "I want something different, something gritty. I don't want to be wearing a suit or to be a pretty boy," he responds. "I want to get dirty and just do a role where it's not about anything glamorous ..."
